The cold temperatures we have experienced are helping the ice conditions. In the protected bays we have about 4 inches of ice. However the strong winds are not helping the main bay, but with the bitter cold temps forecast for the rest of the week I anticipate that will lock up. I wanted to share an interesting website this site gives you a satelite view of the ice on the bay. http://coastwatch.glerl.noaa.gov/modis/modis.php?region=m&page=1
